Google the topmost search engine in the world regularly keeps updating the algorithms in order to improve the search results which it shows. Google endeavoring to show the best results to its viewers has again announced the change in its algorithm which will impact 35% of Web searches. The change will deliver more up-to-date and relevant search content mainly in those areas where freshness matters the most. Like recent events, hot topics, current reviews and breaking news items will show the improved results than before.
The new algorithm applied will consider searches according to the need and the importance and will weigh them accordingly. For instance, if you go for the search of something which does not come under the latest news like locating a monument or finding a recipe or even looking for the updates about the software the result will show the popular searches and will be ranked top even the post is written much before but if you go for searching a latest content or news like new phones launching or sports news the newer, fresher content will be in the list first, followed by older results.
Thus, for searches which are regarding the recent events and news, Google search engine may now show search results in the order they are written i.e. the newer the post written high the rank it gets. The algorithm will know that you must be seeking the newest of news about elections, scores of match etc. so it will preference the order by new content.
This update of freshness is an extension to the update of last year’s Caffeine which helped Google index content to search quicker which showed more realtime results. This new update will impact on roughly 35% of search results as said by the Google.
The last time Panda update badly affected the ranking of some sites which was focused on measuring the content quality. Let’s see the changes made this time by Google will affect the sites badly or will improve their rankings.
